Voted most popular destination of 2009 is...... Barcelona!!! With 23 % of all votes Barcelona did beat Torremolinos (best destination 2008) which had 22% of all votes. Our poll shows surprising results. Barcelona still popular after all these years as one f the hottest destinations of Europe, while Sitges scored surprisingly low in our voting poll. It looks like Sitges lost its popularity and Torremolinos took over as no. 1 gay beach resort. No. 3 in our popularity poll is Ibiza. Altough Ibiza is taken over by straight people it remains popular with our visitors and scored 13% of the total votes.
